"I Know Not"
By: Pam Wesner
I know
not your face but I know your embrace,
your embrace of freedom and your courage to protect it.
I know not your family, the family that has sacrificed
the face I know not.
I know not your soul, except that it will be rewarded
for its selflessness.
I know not your heart, but I know that it is forever
changed.
You know not my face, but yet you lay down your life for
me.
We know not each other but yet we are forever linked.
I pray for your safe return because you are my brother,
my sister, my liberator.
I know not your face, but I do know your grace.
